My favourite – Cleansers

Cleansing the skin is one of the most important parts of a skin care regime because it’s vital that ‘active’ ingredients are applied to clean skin. Washing my face is often a highlight of my day especially when the weather is hot like it has been this bank holiday in the UK.

Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter 90ml is luxurious camomile oil based cleanser which dissolves make-up and suncream effortlessly, while being super gentle on sensitive skin. It comes in an aluminium tin making it a good choice for people looking to go plastic free. It is £10 full price, however the Body Shop is brillant for doing discount codes and 3 for 2’s.

The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser (available in 50ml & 150ml) is the Ordinary’s first cleanser and it doesn’t disappoint. This vegan cleanser breaks down all impuirities on the skin, leaving your face feeling smooth and hydrated. It’s great for people on a budget or for people who are going traveling as the 50ml is only £5.50.

YourGoodSkin Nourishing Hot Cloth Cleanser 125ml is a fragance-free, indulgent cream cleanser that easily removes make-up (so ideal for a 1st cleanse) and impurities. It has a similar concept to the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish as it also comes with muslin cloths to gently exfoliate, however I prefer the YourGoodSkin as it’s suitable for sensitive skin and doesn’t contain essential oil (which Liz Earle’s does). Plus it is much more affordable at £9.50 although YourGoodSkin is often on 3 for 2 in Boots.

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser 200ml is my ride-or-die cleanser as it is perfect for my sensitive/acne-prone skin. It’s a fragance-free, no fuss cream which leaves your skin clean without stripping or irritating. £10.50 however is amazing for doing a 1/3 off French pharmacy months.

Vichy Purete Thermale One Step Cleanser 3 in 1 is very similar to the Toleriane Cleanser as both are non-foaming creams however it contains some fragance so it’s not as good for sensitve skin. I would use it again but I probably wouldn’t repurchase as it is only slightly cheaper at £10.20.

Vichy 3 in 1 Cleanser –

Vichy Normaderm Phytosolution Intensive Purifying Gel is the only foaming cleanser I use as more often than not they aggravate sensitve skin. I mainly use this cleanser in the summer or when I am more hormonal as it contains salicylic acid which is a great chemical exfoliant for acne-prone skin. £11.05
