Masks, Masks and Masks

I use a face mask approximately twice a week as they help make the application of make-up smoothier. However masks don’t really have long term effect on the skin. These are my current affordable favourites.

The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Masque 50ml is a classic black clay mask with the added oomph of Salicyclic Acid at it’s optimum strength 2%, giving the mask multi-dimensional exfoliating capabiltiy.

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution 30ml is the red mask you probably saw all over instagram due to it’s vampire-blood vibe making it ideal for selfies. It is the best chemical exfoliant I have used as the combination of AHA’s (Glycolic/Lactic etc) and Salicyclic Acid make it brillant for acne prone skin

Natures Alchemist Balancing Clay Face Mask 100ml is a white clay mask that is incredibly calming which makes it great for inflamed, angry breakouts. It is also the only one featured that you can pick up with your weekly shop (if you shop in Sainsburys).

BeautyPie Super Pore-Detox Black Clay Mask is similar to the Ordinary clay mask in that they both contain black clay and salicylic acid . This BeautyPie mask has a grainy texture meaning you can a triple exfoliation although the salicylic acid is in a much lower concentration that the Ordinary. However a BeautyPie membership is required.
